Fulltime Wordpress Web Designer
Can you build a professional website independently from start to finish? We want you!
ArchiTech is a growing Internet Marketing and Web Design firm in the Tampa Bay area with an immediate need for a junior level web designer. No back-end programming will be required.
We’re looking for someone that takes pride in their work and can get the job done. You will be working with the support and mentorship of a senior level web designer. Take your career to the next level with a key position in our small firm that offers lots of room for growth!
Qualifications:
- Proficient in HTML and CSS/stylesheets.
- Responsive web design experience.
- Cross-browser compatibility.
- Fundamental skills in either Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks.
- WordPress experience is a plus.
- SEO awareness is a plus.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience. Agency or Independent Contractor experience is a plus.
What You Will Be Doing:
Your responsibility will be to develop websites from start to finish. Most of our client websites are built in Wordpress. We work with pre-built Wordpress themes so you don't have to create the themes yourself (however, custom theme development would make you a rock star!).
You will also be updating websites for existing clients.
You will be responsible for determining how to organize/layout the content that's provided to you, find images that compliment the content and engage the readers, and implement the layout so the page is responsive for all device types.
You'll be given direction from our Internet marketing manager to make edits to client websites that will improve site rankings on search engines or will improve on-page conversion rates.
You will be responsible for keeping Wordpress websites upgraded including the Wordpress framework, plugins, themes, etc.
You will be the first level support person to resolve any website issues on client websites. You will not be required to interface with clients - client communication will be handled by the client experience manager.
This is a full time position available for immediate hire. Candidates must be local to Tampa Bay (Brandon, FL) and will be required to work in the office - this is not a remote position. Relocation assistance is not available.
